The smelting department is the heart of Torri Fonderie, where the raw metal is melted in specialised furnaces to be transformed into material ready for processing. Here, precision and control are essential to ensure the final quality of the product.
Smelting department
Our smelting department lets us handle several different alloys simultaneously, optimising the service to our customers.
All plants undergo regularly scheduled maintenance to maintain energy efficiency, filter cleanliness and ensure the purity of the alloy.

Our high-tech furnaces
Smelting furnaces
Our plant has 2 state-of-the-art smelting furnaces. They are located adjacent to the die-casting shop in total safety and compliance with environmental regulations. Both furnaces are equipped with a special extraction hood that collects and filters all emissions.
Features:
Bale-out furnaces
Each die-casting island is equipped with state-of-the-art furnaces on board the press to keep the alloy at temperature. Each furnace is equipped with a dedicated extraction hood to reduce pollutant emissions.
Features:
These new installations let us save energy and reduce our environmental impact; to date we have obtained over 4000 white certificates.
Presses
Our press fleet consists of 9 units, with different production capacities to meet a wide range of requirements. We use state-of-the-art presses for aluminium die-casting, ensuring precision and reliability at every stage of the process.
Strict control of operating conditions and constant maintenance ensure excellent results and high production efficiency. Our commitment to innovation and quality enables us to meet the highest expectations of our customers, providing finished products of an exceptional standard.
Presses:
Extraction system
All die-casting and machining production facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art extraction systems to reduce the environmental impact.
Each system is subject to scheduled maintenance to maintain its efficiency.
Our commitment to sustainability
In 2020, all extraction systems were renewed with the latest filtering features and 2 new systems were built to further increase the capacity to reduce emissions.
