Die-cast aluminium foundry: technological heart of Torri Fonderie production

At the heart of our production is the die-cast aluminium foundry, a high-tech environment where specialised skills, innovation and process control combine to guarantee excellent and repeatable results. Every step of the process is designed to meet the demands of quality, safety and production flexibility.

State-of-the-art foundry: three independent melting furnaces for alloy handling

We have three independent melting furnaces, each dedicated to a specific alloy. This approach eliminates any risk of contamination and allows us to manage several projects in parallel, ensuring flexibility and timeliness. Monitoring takes place in real time via digital sensors: parameters such as temperature, mixing and bath cleanliness are constantly checked by qualified personnel.

A controlled and sustainable process

Aluminium casting starts with the careful selection of raw materials, from primary ingots to internal scrap, with a view to optimising consumption and environmental sustainability. Once cast, the alloy is treated with degassing and scorification systems, then chemically analysed to ensure its suitability for casting.

Automated die-casting presses and full traceability

Our fully automated die-casting cells include presses, extraction and handling robots, lubricant spray systems and controlled cooling systems. Injection curves are customised for each mould and digitally stored, ensuring repeatability, consistent quality and traceability of the production cycle.

Continuous training and preventive maintenance

Our personnel are actively involved in quality control and operational management through continuous training and the use of digital tools for supervision. All equipment is subject to preventive maintenance and daily checks to ensure maximum efficiency and plant availability.

Detaching agent: a key factor for casting quality

Release agent management is crucial: each alloy and mould requires a dedicated formulation and dosage. The application is done by robotic systems that optimise consumption and quality. Again, the parameters are tracked and adaptable to each product code.

Auxiliary installations and closed-circuit cooling system

We also place great importance on auxiliary systems: compressed air, localised suction, hydraulic systems and dust collectors are subject to constant checks and coordinated maintenance plans. Closed-loop cooling, with automatic flow and temperature control, improves energy efficiency and reduces environmental impact.

Quality, versatility and traceability from casting to finished product

Each production cycle is only started after complete condition checks. During production, any anomalies are detected in real time, while rejects are recorded and tracked. The islands are designed to handle both large volumes and small batches, thanks to digital parameterisation and fast tooling.

The ERP system is integrated with the presses, allowing synchronised planning and full traceability from raw material to finished part.

Automated machining and finishing

Die-cast components are machined on four-axis CNC centres to ensure precision and tight tolerances. Next, multifunctional robotic islands handle deburring, drilling and threading. The finishing department performs visual, aesthetic and functional checks. We also offer certified surface treatments such as sandblasting, anodising and painting, in cooperation with qualified partners.

Torri Fonderie continuously invests in technological innovation, sustainability and personnel training to offer stable, flexible and competitive production in the aluminium die-casting industry. Each element is part of a connected industrial ecosystem, optimised to generate value.
